Corpus Christi Police Still Investigating Hit and Run Death Case

On February 11, 2012, Corpus Christi resident Kimberly Encinia was walking down McArdle near Rodd Field Road, on her way to a church sleep over near the Oso Apartments, when she was struck from behind and killed by a motor vehicle.  The driver failed to stop and render aid.

Over three years later, detectives with the Corpus Christi Police Department are continuing to investigate the hit and run case in order to find the person responsible for hitting Ms. Encinia.  Police believe that the vehicle that struck Ms. Encinia was a light colored 2002 through 2004 Nissan Xterra and that the driver may live near the area of the incident.

Ms. Encinia's family are desperately wanting the police to find the responsible person for causing the tragic death of their daughter in order to put closure on the event that took their daughter's life.  If you have any information that may assist the police with their investigation, call Crime Stoppers at 888-TIPS.
