Slip/Trip and Fall

I slipped and fell in a grocery store, what should I do?

I tripped and fell over an uneven surface while visiting a neighbor's home, what should I do?

Q: I slipped and fell in a grocery store, what should I do?

First and foremost, you should take a deep breath and determine if you are injured.  If you feel pain you should immediately call for help.  If you feel that you are seriously injured, you should ask for someone to call 911 and you should take an ambulance to a local hospital.

In addition, it is also very important at the scene of the accident that you determine what caused you to slip and fall. Without knowing this information, it will be much more difficult for an attorney to help you.

Also, it is imperative to report your slip and fall accident to the store manager immediately and ask that a written report be prepared and that you are provided a copy of the written report.  If you are able, fill out the written report and identify all parts of your body in which you feel pain as a result of the fall, and also identify the specific dangerous condition that caused your fall.    I recommend that you contact a personal injury lawyer as soon as you can after a slip and fall accident that causes any significant injury.

The first thing you should do is to ask for someone to call 911 if you are seriously injured and take an ambulance to a local hospital.  Next, you should determine specifically what caused you to fall.  In fact, you should take a photo with your cell phone of the dangerous condition on the premises that caused your fall.  It is very difficult for a personal injury attorney to help you if you do not possess such knowledge or evidence. Also, I recommend that you contact a personal injury attorney for legal advice as soon as possible after your fall.
